Kazakhstan May Increase Gasoline Supplies to Russia Amid Ongoing Shortages
Russian authorities have stated that the fuel situation in several regions remains challenging, particularly in Siberia.
In July, Kazakhstan already sent its first batch of gasoline to Russia, totaling about 1,000 tons. Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak reported that the country could supply additional surplus petroleum products if necessary. At the same time, Russia is extending its ban on gasoline exports until the end of the year to retain more fuel for the domestic market.
On July 29, it was also revealed that authorities plan to extend restrictions on diesel exports for at least another month. This indicates that production and supply issues have not yet been fully resolved.
The news is directly related to the market: "Will regular gasoline supplies from Kazakhstan to Russia begin before September 1, 2026?" The first shipment has already taken place, but the transition to regular ongoing shipments has not yet been officially confirmed.
